Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else.
Have you ever considered that every person you saw today, in fact every person you’ve ever seen and will see are all the same as you?
This is something that is often forgotten as we all hustle and bustle our way through life as best we can.
That person sat opposite to you on the train has hopes, dreams, experiences, friends and life experience just like you.
They’re doing the best they can with what they have just like you.
They are looking at you and not appreciating other people have all these facets. Just like you.
Life is not the Truman show, as easy as it is to think it, the world does not revolve around you alone- its a vast interwoven web of all sorts of people.
Remembering that fact keeps my ego in check, keeps my social interaction genuine and makes me feel good.
If you remember that we’re all the same and we’re all just trying to do the best with what we have, you’ll find connecting with other people more meaningful and develop some genuine interest and bonds rather than hiding behind the superficial façades we all have to cushion ourselves from each other.
Next time you’re jostling for a seat on the train or a place in a queue- remember this and see how differently you react.
