To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

We are not now that strength which in old days

Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;

One equal temper of heroic hearts,

Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will

To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Inspiration can be found in a variety of places and often “older” wisdom can be the more compelling.

These lines, from Ulysses by Tennyson, appear in the James Bond movie Skyfall (you didn’t think I was reading poetry did you?)

In essence, it talks about strength of will and the future. It talks about how whatever may have happened to you, it’s what you do about it that counts.

In life, it’s too easy to have failures and consider yourself a “failure” likewise to have some successes and consider yourself a “success” The reality is that both failure and success are fleeting and neither should be dwelled upon.it’s your strength of will and continual ability to strive that make the difference.

Stay striving, stay seeking and never yield.
