The Mexican Fisherman

I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siestas with my wife, Maria, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine, and play guitar with my amigos.

I found this through Be More With Less, a blog which focusses on minimalism, efficiency and peace of mind.

The story doesn’t originate here, it’s quite well known, but I haven’t come across it in a while and never shared it here on the blog.

The story of the Mexican Fisherman is a classic tale which casts doubt over the constant strive for “more” and “better”, sometimes we need to realise we don’t need any more, we just need to recognise what we have.
