To succeed in life, you need two things: ignorance and confidence.
Confidence is one of the biggest impediments to happiness and success. Too much and you’re arrogant, steam rolling over everyone around you, too little and you stay where you are in life, afraid to take risks or try new things.
We all need a little confidence to move forward in life, so what do you do if (like me) you’ve always had naturally low confidence levels?
You embrace your “imperfections” – that’s the key.
Rather than suppressing or downplaying what makes you feel un-confident, embrace it and then seek to improve it.
When you accept your weak points, your flaws, and your imperfections then you can motivate yourself to make changes and improve.
Hide from your weaknesses and you’ll always be weak. Accept your weaknesses and then work to improve them and you’ll eventually be stronger–and more confident.
Focus on competence, not confidence and you’ll be OK 🙂
